Nós, da última geração a ouvir os sucessos em vinil, passamos a conhecer um novo mundo. Os ruídos e as notas musicais revelaram aos ouvidos um inesgotável e divertido universo. Escutar é preciso, viver não é preciso! Assim, como desbravadores dos oceanos, partimos em busca de novas fronteiras.
O tempo passou, os meninos tornaram-se homens e de puros espectadores nos tornamos também criadores desse universo. Logo percebemos que somos apenas a herança dos sons de quando éramos crianças. E pouco importa se a radiola moderna é digital, remixada pelos computadores num disco compacto. Seu objetivo continua o mesmo, transpor barreiras e levar os homens a outra dimensão.

We, of the last generation to have heard vinyl records, know an entire new world. The musical tunes and notes revealed to our ears an endless and fun universe. Listening is necessary, living isn’t necessary! So, as explorers of the ocean we set sail in search of new horizons.
Time has passed and boys have become men. And from mere spectators they have become creators of their own universe. Soon we realized that we embodied the heritage of the sounds from our childhood. The LP player of today is digital, remixed by computers, and freed into a virtual world. We are the generation that connects time, analog to digital. And we are the link between modern sounds and the original Brazilian music, which is universal.
In 2001, the swing of funk music, the strength of rock, and all the Brazilian musicality gave birth to the Radiola Band. Having an authentic style and rhythmic sensitiveness, which is present in the candomblé atabaque (type of hand drum) percussion and in the visceral distorted guitar riffs, Radiola blends music that has been made throughout centuries to what is yet to come. This style has been baptized as “Rocksambagroove”. |
